Catching up

I have been horrible on the blogging aspect of things! So i will catch everything up here. On October 20, 2008 Danny and I discovered that we were expecting! And we were thrilled! My due date was July 1st 2009. Everything was going fantastic for us! We went to New Meadows for Christmas, had a lovely Christmas! Nothing to special went on. February 20,2009 we found out that we were having a little girl! That day we went shopping for a few cute outfits!

On March 15Th is when our lives took a sharp turn. That morning i woke up and something wasn't right. We went to the hospital and discovered that i was having contractions all night, at 24 and a half weeks. I was Immediately admitted in the hospital, place on a magnesium IV drip (that made me feel HORRIBLE!) it was all in attempt to stop the labor. I was placed on total bed rest in Labor and delivery. Throughout the week magnesium levels were steadily raised as i dilated further. On March 25Th, Labor was unable to be stopped and I gave birth to our sweet little girl Chloe. She was born at 26 weeks, 2 lbs 2 oz and 13.5 inches long.

(Note: the date on the picture is incorrect)

Chloe was intubated right away and place in an incubator, she was stable enough i was allowed to see her for a few seconds, and then she was taken to the NICU.

This was a joyous day in the sense that she was still alive, but scary because any moment she could have given up.

Chloe remained in the Hospital for 121 days. Those by far were the worst 121 days of my life. I saw my daughter go through things that no baby should ever have to go through.

On July 24Th, 2009 we were able to bring her home! We were truly blessed, she came home as healthy as can be! No monitors, no oxygen, and no brain bleeds!

This is our sweet little Chloe today! She is as happy as can be! She loves to talk and to be talked to! She needs constant interaction with people, which makes doing things around the house hard, but i am so blessed everyday that i wake up to my sweet little girl and my wonderful husband!

I saw many miracle performed right in front of me! I would never have made this journey without the help from our Savior! He gave me strength when I needed it most!

I also want my mother to be acknowledged. She was by my side every step of the way! When I just needed someone to sit with, she was there! I love my mom!

I regret to say that having Chloe home has not been easy. The stress and tension that was build over our 4 month hospital journey did not disappear the day she came home. This has been a true test on our marriage one that are passing and has made us grown so much stronger than we ever imagined. We struggle everyday but the one thing that keeps us going is her sweet little smile and our love for each other!

I want to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers sent our way during this hard time in our lives. It is so great to know that we have so many wonderful friends! Thank You!
