Its amazing how life can change in the blink of an eye! Tuesday December 29Th 2009 I woke up at 6:45 am with contractions. I immediately called my parents because Danny was already at work. My parents rushed to my house my mom took Chloe while my Dad rushed me to the hospital. At that point I knew our little boy was going to be born at 23 weeks and 5 days. When we got to the hospital Danny met me there, my feelings were correct after about two and a half hours of trying to stop labor to buy Cooper as many hours as possible, my doctor checked and i was fully dilated. They continued to try and keep him in as long as possible, but contractions were to strong, and I couldn't fight the urge to push any longer. The nurse called the doctor, he took a beside ultrasound, and all I can remember was he said we need to get his baby out, he is breech so we have to do a c-section. At that point all I could think of was I just wanted to be put out, the pain was horrible and I was unable to have my coach, (Danny) by my side. After being rushed to the OR, I remember after what felt like ages they finally put me under. When I awoke I was told that it only took them 12 minutes to deliver a 1 pound 8 ounce baby boy. Danny was in the
NICU with him but his condition was unknown to me. Danny finally returned to my room and told me he was beautiful! Thank goodness my Dad had his camera because that was the first i was able to see of him until i was stable enough to be wheeled to the
NICU.
It took us a while to come up with his full name! We finally agreed on Cooper Kay
Koeberlein. He really is a beautiful little boy! A miracle that he has even made it this far! He started with a 15% survival rate. He have overcome so much! You can visit to follow with his care and condition.

I am so thankful for our family! My mom as able to take Chloe, who had a horrible cold that almost sent her to the hospital, she took such great care of Chloe and still is while I am healing. I have been staying with Chloe at my parents house so I can still help out with what I can and recover.
Danny's parents were able to come down the day Cooper was born, and took Mia up north with them. I am so thankful because we didn't have time to care for her with all of this.
Danny and I have been trying to divide our time between Chloe and Cooper which has been extremely difficult. We are taking it one day at a time. Keeping our faith, and putting our trust in the Lord.
